Senior GL Accountant

Welcome to our exciting team!  This Senior Accountant reports to the GL Manager, Accounting, and is a key member of the general ledger team.  This role plays a critical part in the monthly close process, including preparing journal entries, performing variance analysis, and maintaining account reconciliations. The ideal candidate is a strong team player, proactive problem solver, and self-starter who seeks opportunities to refine processes and improve efficiency. This position partners closely with FP&A and other business stakeholders to understand operation activity and ensure accurate accounting and reporting. The Senior Accountant also provides timely and accurate responses to internal and external inquiries and supports audit and compliance efforts. Core Requirements and Responsibilities: Essential job functions included, but are not limited to: ·       Be an integral part of the month-end close process including owning journal entries for multiple business areas, performing variance analysis, and preparing  and maintaining account reconciliations ·       Partner with FP&A and other colleagues to understand the business and ensure our accurate financial reporting ·       Identify opportunities to improve or eliminate manual processes and mitigate risk through automation and emerging technologies, including AI ·       Generate and maintain monthly analytical files tracking changes in various Income Statement accounts and collaborate with FP&A to ensure consistency and accuracy ·       Assist with SOX compliance documentation and support adherence to accounting policies and internal controls ·       Coordinate with external auditors by fulfilling audit requests and responding to inquiries ·       Document, maintain, and continuously improve accounting processes and procedures ·       Support vendor setup and maintenance activities to ensure accurate accounting and proper controls ·       Oversee outsourced transaction and property tax activities, including sales and use tax compliance, filings, and audits. ·       Coordinate with internal teams and external advisors to review tax accruals, address tax questions, and ensure timely, accurate compliance ·       Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned by management Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: ·       SaaS software industry experience preferred ·       Strong analytical skills to identify trends, variances, and problem areas ·       Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, prioritize work, and remain well organized ·       Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and pivot tables ·       Team-oriented mindset with strong listening skills and openness to feedback and best practices ·       Comfort with change in a continuous improvement environment ·       Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively and present information in meetings ·       NetSuite experience preferred but not required
