Senior Functional Safety Technical Lead, Autonomous Operations

Johnson Service Group (JSG) is actively searching for a Senior Functional Safety Technical Lead, Autonomous Operations for our client’s operation near Houston, TX. This is a long-term contract position with competitive pay. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a state-of-the-art project.

The Senior Functional Safety Technical Lead is responsible for leading aspects of the Autonomous Operations within the focused industries and specific discipline areas. This includes managing a team of technical resources with Functional Safety expertise within autonomous operations and automated projects with an Operations and Maintenance (O&M) focus throughout the Americas.  The Technical Lead will be responsible for the management and execution of projects successfully within operational area, and leading appropriately skilled delivery teams, while creating a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in delivery of projects involving application of Advanced Automation technologies in Functional Safety and develop and integrate multi-technology solutions as mentioned above. Exida (CFSE), TUV or similar Functional Safety certification preferred Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Engineering, Electrical, Chemical, Electronics, or Mechanical or related field from an accredited College or University. Project management experience, with a focus on performance improvement and operations strongly preferred. Facilitating workshops, client discovery meetings, strategic advisory / consulting with client is expected for successful work execution. Alarm Rationalization/Management experience is highly preferred. Driven, high energy, presence/gravitas, intelligent but practical, people person. Demonstrable experience with selling through networking. Excellent analytical and research skills, attention to detail, intellectual rigor. Excellent communication and listening skills. Able to interact at any level of a client organization, including Executives and Staff. Able to think outside of the box; innovative; flexible and decisive. Keeps informed on ongoing technological developments with a keen sense of when evolving technology is ready to be implemented at scale. Willing to travel an average of 35-50%.
