Learn more at www.caterpillar.com (https://www.caterpillar.com/en.html) . **The Role:** + As a Senior Financial Data Analyst in our Data and Technology group within Global Tax, you will leverage your digital skills to enhance data and processes, create visualizations, and support specific applications, particularly within the Microsoft Platform. As an experienced professional, you will participate in projects and initiatives to explore emerging technologies that deliver efficient solutions. **What You Will Do:** + Drive process improvement and automation to enhance efficiency and effectiveness, both independently and collaboratively + Participate on application/system projects or initiatives through deployment lifecycle, including leading specified workstreams of a project and collaborating with internal and external resources + Leverage query and database access tools to access, extract, transform, and format data from data management systems to support reporting, analysis, and automation initiatives + Perform data-related tasks within Power BI, including data modeling, analysis, quality monitoring, troubleshooting along with designing, implementing, and maintaining dashboards and visualizations to support data analysis + Assist in the administration, maintenance, and resolution of user issues of supported applications and systems with an emphasis on Dataverse and Power Automate + Evaluate emerging technologies across products, services, and platforms. Build and deploy automated workflows on new coding solutions to optimize tax processes, including Office Scripting + Advance AI capabilities through prompt engineering, including the development of models, agents, and/or chatbots **What You Have:**   + **Education/Experience:**  The position typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, IT, or business related degree  + **Effective Communications:** Understanding of effective communication concepts; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors + **Problem Solving:** Ability to assist with analyzing risks and benefits of alternative approaches; identify and document specific problems and resolution with understanding of stakeholder perspective + **Analytical Thinking:** Approaches a situation or problem by defining the problem or issue and determining its significance; make a systematic comparison of two or more alternative solutions + **Accuracy and Attention to Detail:** Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision and timeliness **What Will Set You Apart:** + Strong knowledge of M365, Microsoft Power Platform (including Power Automate, Power Apps, and Dataverse), and advanced excel skills + Experience working with data, including SQL or Snowflake, data warehouses and various dashboard applications + Strong accountability, interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate effectively + Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple requests and priorities simultaneously + Knowledge of Caterpillar business, products, and customers + Understanding of accounting, business processes, financial systems and enterprise operations **Additional Information** : + This position can be located in Peoria, IL or Irving, TX + This role requires 5 days a week in office + Domestic relocation is available for those who qualify + Sponsorship is **not** available + International and Domestic travel up to 10% **Summary Pay Range:** $97,530.00 - $146,290.00 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
