THE ROLE The Senior Financial Analyst will report to the Director of Finance to support all financial aspects of the business and assisting with Legends Global financial reporting, strategy and planning. The Senior Financial Analyst executes the Accounting and Finance functions. Furthermore, this position will oversee, monitor, and analyze capital and operating budgets, including monthly financial analyses, monthly forecasting, annual planning, cash forecasting, and ad hoc business analyses. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS + Work directly with the Director of Finance to prepare operations analysis and reports. + Support all facets of the business operations including monthly P&L statements and all financial reporting. + Support the day-to-day accounting processes including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger. + Support annual operating budget and quarterly reviews vs plan. + Manage the finance and payroll team and responsibilities. + Daily reconciliation of cash and credit card transactions. + Prepare weekly and monthly financial forecasts for comparison to budget. + Support the monthly inventory process and perform in-depth cost of goods analysis. + Preparation of monthly financial statements. + Ensure a timely and accurate month-end closing process. + Prepare monthly and quarterly financial results, forecasts, and externally required financial reports. + Provide insights based on trends in the operation and financial performance of the venue. + Participate in the planning and administration of the annual budget process including detailed review of departmental budget submissions. + Have a thorough understanding of, and the ability to review contracts. + Build solid working relationships with business and department leaders. + Perform other duties as assigned by management. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above at the highest levels. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. + Minimum 3 years of relevant experience preferably in public accounting, sports, live entertainment, or hospitality industry. + BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or related field required – CPA preferred. + Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and other MS Office software required. + Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail essential. + Must be highly analytical, can think creatively, and understand complex business dynamics. + Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a deadline-oriented environment. + Knowledge of point of sale systems including Clover, MS Dynamics D365 and payroll systems a plus. + Must be flexible to work extended hours due to business requirements including nights, weekends, and holidays. COMPENSATION Competitive salary range of $80,000 - $90,000 CAD commensurate with experience, and a generous benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, paid vacation, and RSP plan.
