Senior Financial Analyst

Job Description

The Senior Financial Analyst, Sales, will play a crucial role in supporting financial processes, systems, and studies that aid in planning and forecasting. This position involves operational planning, quarterly forecasting, monthly outlooks, and reporting business reviews. You will partner closely with Sales Directors and the broader sales team to monitor sales forecasts, develop customer P&L, and optimize trade activity. In addition, you will align with business units to ensure efficient sales management and process simplification.

Responsibilities

Lead monthly trade reviews with sales teams in alignment with audit controls.Perform monthly accounting entries for trade accruals.Review and interpret monthly results and projections, identifying risks and opportunities.Collaborate with the Plato team to ensure accurate event creation and adherence to audit requirements.Provide input and support for the Annual Business Plan and monthly forecasts.Offer financial planning and analysis support to channel teams.Support the development of product and customer P&Ls, using variance analysis to enhance sales and gross margin.Drive improved return on investment related to deflator investments.Approve promotional activities and prepare adjusting entries.Reconcile accrual accounts.

Essential Skills

3+ years of Sales Finance experience.Advanced proficiency in Excel, as most tasks will be conducted within the software.Experience with SAP, forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting.Strong skills in financial modeling and variance analysis.Proficiency in financial planning and analysis.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.3 years of financial analytical experience.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.Proven collaboration skills with internal and external partners.Strong analytical and problem-resolution abilities.Experience with Hyperion Planning and SAP or other ERP systems.Experience in the CPG industry is preferred.Additional certifications such as MBA, CPA, or CMA are preferred.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $55.00/hr.
