Job Description

The Finance department oversees the accounting, financial planning/budgeting, and procurement operations across a diverse range of entities and businesses that support the company and its affiliated organizations, trusts, and other entities. The Senior Financial Analyst plays a crucial role in providing advice, support, and value-added financial analyses to specific business units, ensuring informed financial decisions and optimizing financial results.

ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with the department head and team in planning, developing, and monitoring operating and capital budgets.Prepare monthly financial and analytical reports at the department, cost center, and project level.Provide analytics related to operational performance against plan and offer advice to improve financial results.Develop pricing models to analyze the impact of different options and predict outcomes using financial analysis concepts, methodologies, and systems.Work with directors and managers to evaluate business decisions for financial impact and ensure these impacts are reflected in forecasts.Consult with and advise department heads and managers regarding financial impacts on proposed projects and initiatives.Serve as a subject matter expert and business partner to leaders in assigned business units, offering financial direction and advising on strategic decisions.Design and deliver monthly analytical guidance and reports to aid management in overseeing financial performance.Review and analyze monthly financial performance, investigate unusual or unfavorable variances, and recommend corrective action as needed.Forecast operating and capital costs and consult with leaders and managers on analysis results.Advise and assist managers with developing their operating and capital budgets and current year forecasts.Essential Skills8 years of progressive experience in for-profit corporate environments.Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.Proficiency in financial analysis, budget forecasting, pricing, cost analysis, and financial modeling.Experience with shareholder and stakeholder management.Expertise in variance analysis.Additional Skills & QualificationsStrong analytical skills and attention to detail.Ability to collaborate effectively with various departments and teams.Excellent communication skills to convey complex financial information.Work Environment

The role requires working onsite two days a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The position is under the VP of Finance and Budget, and involves collaboration with a team of 12-15 individuals. The pay range for this position is $145000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
