The Amazon Studios Original Series Finance team is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support the financial planning efforts, with direct ownership of key line items on our Studios P&L. This role will partner with our content strategy, production, and production finance teams to support production cost tracking, title P&L reporting, and greenlight decisions. The Series Financial Analyst is a key contributor to automation efforts occurring across Amazon Studios and will be responsible for identifying opportunities to streamline and improve processes via automation and Ai. With direct influence over content investment decisions and strategy, this is an ideal opportunity for a finance professional who is passionate about data, analytics, driving value for customers, and, of course, video content.
Key job responsibilities
- Provide financial analyses to our Creative and Strategy Executives throughout their decision-making processes
- Provide timely, accurate and complete financial forecasting and reporting for our Original series content budgets
- Execute opportunities for process improvement and automation and efficiency of our Studio operations
- Partner with accounting to ensure accurate reporting of development and production activities
- Contribute to post-mortem analyses to determine areas for optimization and improvement
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field
- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 3+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
- Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis
- Experience in identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes
- Experience in financial modeling, P&L management or analysis
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
