The Prime Video Advertising (PVA) Finance team is looking for a talented and motivated Financial Analyst to support the international business with local reporting mechanisms with data and analysis.
This role will work closely with the Advertising business teams and support expansions of the international PVA business.
Key job responsibilities
• Gather data and prepare weekly/monthly/quarterly business reports for PVA marketplaces outside the US.
• Support month/quarter/annual close processes with variance analysis. This includes commentary on key drivers of variance versus plan.
• Support monthly/quarterly/annual long range forecasting for PVA Business.
• Identify opportunities to simplify processes and automate standard analysis'.
• Manage ad hoc requests, financial deep dives and analyses to support senior leadership.
• Partner with PVA business on ad hoc projects with high visibility.
About the team
Prime Video Ads Finance partners with the broader Prime Video Finance organization to support ad-supported content planning, technology investment, and overall business strategy. We strive to deliver high-quality and actionable insights, strategic analysis, and financial controllership to build a sustainable long-term Ad-supported streaming business that will delight customers and provide maximum value to the Prime Video business and Amazon overall.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or a Bachelor's degree and experience in quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance)
- Experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses
- Experience in tax, finance or a related analytical field
- Experience in identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of Tableau
- Experience participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
