Senior Financial Analyst, Corporate Development Finance
Description Amazon's Corporate Development team seeks a talented Senior Financial Analyst to join our Corporate Development organization. In this high-visibility role, you will evaluate diverse business opportunities spanning M&A, investments, and strategic initiatives. This position plays a key, active role on a small team that drives corporate transactions across businesses at Amazon. Key responsibilities, but are not limited to: - Support critical due diligence efforts across corporate transactions - Conduct comprehensive research on industries, potential partners, and investment strategies - Lead financial analyses that guide senior management decision-making - Deliver impactful recommendations to senior management and executive teams - Drive strategic thinking and strategy formation across Amazon's businesses The ideal candidate is an independent, intellectually curious professional who can navigate ambiguous situations and analyze opportunities through multiple perspectives - including those of the end-customer, business owner, and corporate finance professional. Basic Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree - 3+ years of corporate development, private equity, investment banking (coverage or M&A) experience with a focus on technology, media, entertainment, e-commerce/retail, grocery, health care, or advertising industries Preferred Qualifications - MBA - High proficiency with corporate valuation techniques, financial modeling, and accounting acumen - Advanced analytical skills - Fluency with Excel and supporting financial software (e.g. FactSet, S&P Capital IQ) - Excellent business judgment - Persuasive oral/written communication skills - Note: Candidates will be asked to complete a modeling assessment as part of the interview process if advanced beyond the phone screen phase Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $164,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
