AWS Finance seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to support Just Walk Out (JWO), an exciting and growing service within the AWS Applied AI Solutions portfolio. This role offers direct business partnership support and will work closely with senior finance management and key business partners to drive product/service pricing, cost forecasting and optimization, financial planning, decision support, and controllership. Key job responsibilities As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will work directly with business leaders to identify opportunities and develop business cases. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Partner with business stakeholders to co-create business strategies, develop financial models, derive actionable data-driven insights and analytics to influence leadership decision-making to drive revenue growth and promote cost discipline. - Contribute with deep-dive analyses and insights in Weekly, Quarterly and Monthly Business Reviews - Lead development and implementation of the long term strategic plan, annual operating plan, and quarterly forecasts. - Manage projects that significantly impact the business including partnering with engineering teams to identify and implement infrastructure cost optimizations. - Perform ad-hoc analysis as needed and present findings to senior management. A day in the life A day in the life - Dives into data to identify key trends and insights for deliverables such as WBRs, MFRs, MFRs, and QBRs. - Develop business insights and analyses to directly impact the direction of the business. - Create forecasts and budgets during planning cycles. - Present your findings directly to senior leadership. Basic Qualifications - 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience - Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience Preferred Qualifications - 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience - MBA, or CPA - 4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience - 4+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
