AWS Finance is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support centralize reporting and processes on Amazon Connect. The leader in this role will partner with the service GM to provide data driven analysis, strategic decision support, financial planning, and controllership. Key job responsibilities - Support Amazon Connect Service P&Ls and influence business decisions that drive revenue and/or capital expenditures - Leading critical processes such as Weekly Business Reviews, MFR and monitor financial and business health - Take the lead in financial planning and analysis; build and maintain complex financial models and analytical tools to measure overall financial performance, including short and long range financial/operational forecasts, and communicate results to senior management - Maintain controllership of the business: ensure all financial fundamentals are correct and accurate, such as billing, cost allocation, and financial presentation - Analyze new business ideas, make analytical judgments, and provide data intensive analyses to drive meaningful change A day in the life -Working closely with business and GTM partners to monitor business growth; evaluating the financial impacts of new sales plays and feature launches, and other strategic decisions -Leading the preparation and presentation of WBR with Connect VP and Solutions SVP -Monitoring business performance on both top-line and bottom-line metrics, drafting MFR and leading financial reviews with the service's leadership team About the team AWS Applied AI Solutions Connect Finance is a team of dedicated professionals who are striving to be the best finance team to support a high-growth, Gen-AI investment area of AWS. Basic Qualifications - 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience - Bachelor's degree in accounting, information systems, finance, or equivalent Preferred Qualifications - MBA, or CPA - Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards) - 4+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience - Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis - 4+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience - Experience in financial modeling, P&L management or analysis Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
