Senior Finance Business Analyst

NTT DATA's Client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Finance Systems Analyst with 8+ years of expertise in financial systems support, optimization, and enterprise implementations. This role is responsible for translating complex business requirements into technical solutions, supporting ERP finance modules, ensuring data integrity, and driving system enhancements across a corporate finance environment.
The ideal candidate has deep experience with JD Edwards E1, strong SQL capabilities, and a proven track record of leading cross-functional initiatives, system upgrades, and integrations while maintaining compliance and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Systems Support & Optimization
Serve as the primary functional and technical resource for JD Edwards E1 Finance modules (AR, AP, GL, FA, etc.).
Act as the main point of contact for North America E1 system issues.
Resolve high-volume ServiceNow tickets using root cause analysis to improve system stability and reduce recurring issues.
Administer and maintain financial SaaS platforms including Vertex Tax, Blackline, and Esker.
Business Analysis & Requirements Management
Create, document, and manage business change requests.
Translate financial and operational needs into detailed functional and technical specifications.
Validate reporting logic, data mappings, and system enhancements prior to production release.
Build and execute testing and validation frameworks across the SDLC.
Data Analysis & Reporting
Execute complex SQL queries to insert, update, validate, and analyze financial data.
Consolidate finance data to produce management-ready reports supporting monthly close and ad-hoc decision-making.
Develop dashboards and reports (ServiceNow, Power BI) to monitor SLAs, ticket backlogs, and system performance.
System Implementations & Integrations
Lead and support enterprise system upgrades and integrations, including:
JD Edwards 9.2 upgrade
Vertex tax system upgrades
Blackline implementation
Esker implementation
Quote-to-Cash initiatives
Manage EDI integrations, including inbound and outbound data mappings using JSON and XML.
Ensure data accuracy and integrity across integrated finance platforms.
Compliance & Controls
Administer monthly tax rate updates across multiple jurisdictions in Vertex.
Ensure financial systems maintain compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
Support accurate financial reporting through rigorous data validation processes.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
8+ years of experience in finance systems, ERP support, or financial data analysis.
5+ years of strong hands-on experience with JD Edwards E1 Finance modules.
3 to 5 years of advanced SQL proficiency for data manipulation and reporting.
3 to 5 years of experience with financial SaaS platforms such as Vertex, Blackline, and Esker.
Experience working within structured SDLC environments.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience leading system upgrades or enterprise implementations.
Knowledge of EDI integrations and data mapping (JSON/XML).
Experience with ServiceNow, JIRA, and Power BI.
Background in accounting, tax, or financial reporting environments.
Prior experience in financial services or large corporate environments.
