In this role you will **support the estimation process by performing a variety of estimating tasks on a major project.** **What You'll Be Doing:** + Quantity Takeoffs: Prepares material takeoffs from drawings, plans, and specifications for assigned project components. + Scope Analysis: Assists in reviewing contractual documents to determine project scope, exclusions, and potential changes. + Cost Breakdown: Develops basic component-level estimates, including assigning rates and performing necessary calculations. + Vendor Engagement: Contacts suppliers and subcontractors to obtain price quotations for materials, labor, and services. + Historical Data Management: Collects and organizes historical cost information to support future estimates and refine database accuracy. + Documentation & Reporting: Maintains estimate logs and supports preparation of bid packages and cost summaries. + Team Collaboration: Works with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure alignment and consistency in estimating approaches. + Learning & Development: Receives guidance from senior estimators and actively builds knowledge of company procedures and industry best practices. **What Required Skills You'll Bring:** + Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred. + 5 years of relevant experience in estimating or related project controls functions. + Strong analytical and math skills with attention to detail. + Familiarity with industry-standard estimating software and tools is a plus.
