With our incredibly strong project pipeline of energy, water and transport projects we are seeking a Senior Environmental Planner to join our Sydney Environmental Impact Assessment team.
We’re seeking an environmental approvals professional who is excited to work at the forefront of major infrastructure planning, developing their skills across environmental impact assessments, constraints analyses, strategic assessments and environmental management plans. In this role, you will contribute to shaping project designs, translating complex issues into clear approvals documentation, and developing your project management skills to lead the coordination and delivery of high quality approvals documents for renewable energy, transmission, transport (road/rail/ports/air), water, and industrial sectors.. Our enviable EIS portfolio includes the first offshore wind farm EIS in Australia; longest road tunnel EIS in Australia and the first place based EIS for an infrastructure project in NSW.
How you’ll make a difference
Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to prepare high-quality Environmental Impact Statements, Review of Environmental Factors, and other approval documents, translating technical information into clear, accessible language Supporting project delivery by managing time effectively, balancing a varied workload, and assisting in organising project resources, budgets and schedules Manage medium-scale projects and support the delivery of larger, more complex projects by contributing to project planning, resourcing, program management and client coordination Coordinate specialist input and fieldwork to ensure technical advice is effectively integrated into project outcomes, while supporting the development of junior team members through day-to-day mentoring, technical guidance and constructive feedback to contribute to a capable and high-performing project team QualificationsThe qualities that help you thrive

A bachelor’s degree in environmental science, environmental planning, or environmental engineering with 5+ years relevant work experience, consulting experience (desirable) Environmental impact assessment experience across numerous market sectors and a good industry reputation. Strong team player, confident communicator, both written and verbal.
