Job Title: Sr. Engineering Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a business systems leader with the capability to impose SDLC discipline on Salesforce, guide a NetSuite transition, and manage sales and support platforms as real products. This role is not for developers; it is for a platform execution leader.

Responsibilities

Lead the Engineering Services organization, overseeing teams in web development, Salesforce, NetSuite, and technical writing.Establish and maintain best practices for system design, integration, and documentation.Collaborate with stakeholders across engineering, sales, finance, and customer care to understand strategy and business requirements, delivering technical solutions that meet operational needs.Drive improvements in system reliability, scalability, and performance.Develop and maintain standards for internal and external documentation that support product and operational excellence.Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocations across multiple functional areas.Foster collaboration, innovation, and a culture of accountability and continuous learning.Mentor and develop team members, providing technical and professional growth opportunities.Stay informed about emerging technologies relevant to web development, CRM/ERP systems, and documentation practices.Lead vendor relationships and evaluate third-party solutions that support the operational ecosystem.

Essential Skills

10+ years’ experience working in software engineering teams.5+ years of experience in leadership or management of software engineering teams.Experience leading multi-disciplinary technical teams.Understanding of web technologies and frameworks such as JavaScript, Node.js, React, or similar.Hands-on experience with Salesforce and/or NetSuite platforms, including customization, integration, and administration.Familiarity with REST APIs, data integration, and automation between enterprise systems.Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects from concept through delivery.Experience with Agile methodologies and modern development practices.Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP preferred.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Salesforce leadership experience with Sales Cloud and Marketing Cloud experience.Experience governing customization, version control, pipelines, release discipline, and SDLC rigor.Ability to build and run lean internal teams, eliminating vendor dependency.Experience with telecom domain is highly useful.

Work Environment

This position is 100% remote with potential travel. The work environment is primarily indoors at home, customer or vendor sites, or other business meeting venues. There may be exposure to various weather and temperature conditions during travel, as well as hazardous driving and traffic conditions.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Roseville, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $185000.00 - $230000.00/yr.
