Senior Engineer (India Office)

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Functional Engineer with proven experience in Order Management Systems (OMS). The ideal candidate will play a key role in gathering business requirements, designing solutions, and supporting implementation and enhancements in the OMS domain across order lifecycle processes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document functional requirements related to order capture, orchestration, inventory, fulfillment, and returns.
• Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications for OMS solutions (e.g., IBM Sterling [preferred], Manhattan, Oracle OMS, Blue Yonder, etc.).
• Partner with technical teams to ensure requirements are well understood and implemented as per design.
• Support configuration, testing (SIT/UAT), and deployment of OMS functionalities.
• Troubleshoot OMS issues and work with cross-functional teams for resolution.
• Perform gap analysis and recommend improvements or new functionalities to optimize order flow.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, grooming, retrospectives).
• Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for OMS processes across channels (e.g., eCommerce, retail, B2B).
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience as a Functional Consultant/Engineer in the OMS domain.
• Strong knowledge of order lifecycle management, inventory visibility, allocation, sourcing, and fulfillment processes.
• Experience working with OMS platforms like Manhattan, IBM Sterling, Oracle, Blue Yonder, or similar.
• Good understanding of integrations between OMS, WMS, ERP, CRM, and eCommerce platforms.
• Hands-on experience with documenting business and functional requirements (BRD, FSD).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with REST/SOAP APIs and system integrations.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Domain knowledge in retail, eCommerce, or supply chain is a plus.
• Basic SQL knowledge for data validation and troubleshooting.
