We are looking for an experienced **Power BI Admin/Architect** with strong expertise in governance, security, and enterprise-scale deployments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for establishing governance frameworks, optimizing performance, managing tenant administration, and ensuring adoption of Power BI across the organization. **Key Responsibilities** + Define and implement Power BI governance framework including workspaces, datasets, dataflows, RLS/OLS, licensing, and security policies. + Administer Power BI Service (tenant-level settings, capacity management, gateways, premium capacities, monitoring, and auditing). + Design and enforce standards for Power BI workspace structure, naming conventions, and lifecycle management. + Work closely with stakeholders to design scalable and secure Power BI architectures that integrate with enterprise data platforms (Azure Synapse, Databricks, SQL Server, etc.). + Establish best practices for development, publishing, performance tuning, and usage monitoring. + Ensure compliance with **data governance, privacy, and security policies** across the BI ecosystem. + Conduct training, onboarding, and change management to drive **adoption and self-service BI**. + Collaborate with enterprise architects, data engineers, and business teams to align BI strategy with organizational goals. **Required Qualifications** + 6–7 years** of overall IT/BI experience with **3–4 years focused on Power BI administration and architecture**. + Strong expertise in **Power BI tenant administration, premium capacities, and gateway management**. + In-depth knowledge of **Power BI Service, Power BI Desktop, DAX, and Power Query**. + Experience with **data governance frameworks, security (RLS/OLS), and compliance policies**. + Proficiency in **Azure ecosystem** (Azure AD, Synapse, Data Lake, SQL Server, Purview). + Solid understanding of **enterprise data architecture, reporting structures, and metadata management**. + Strong problem-solving, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills. + Experience designing enterprise-wide Power BI governance models. + Knowledge of **CI/CD pipelines for Power BI (Azure DevOps, GitHub, Power BI Deployment Pipelines)**. + Familiarity with **monitoring and auditing using Power BI Admin APIs, Log Analytics, or PowerShell**. + Microsoft certifications such as **PL-300 (Power BI Data Analyst), PL-600 (Power Platform Solution Architect), or DP-500 (Azure Enterprise Data Analyst)**. **Preferred Qualifications** Experience designing enterprise-wide Power BI governance models. + Knowledge of **CI/CD pipelines for Power BI (Azure DevOps, GitHub, Power BI Deployment Pipelines)**. + Familiarity with **monitoring and auditing using Power BI Admin APIs, Log Analytics, or PowerShell**. + Microsoft certifications such as **PL-300 (Power BI Data Analyst), PL-600 (Power Platform Solution Architect), or DP-500 (Azure Enterprise Data Analyst)**. \#LI-KS1 At Wesco, we build, connect, power and protect the world.
