Senior Electrical Engineer
Job Description Insight Global is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join a leading medical device manufacturer’s Electrophysiology team to conduct testing on sustaining fielded products and evaluating design changes ranging from individual circuits to fully configured systems. Your work includes performing component and BOM analyses, defining necessary testing for replacements, and assessing new or substitute circuit‑level components against established criteria. You also evaluate electrical and system compatibility between medical devices and collaborate with internal and contract manufacturing teams to troubleshoot production challenges. In addition, you analyze failures or performance issues in circuit boards, cables, power supplies, and displays, while conducting electrical testing on PCBAs and products and documenting and implementing corresponding design updates. Your role involves performing standards-based testing, including EMC and safety evaluations, and working cross‑functionally with quality, regulatory, sourcing, and manufacturing groups. You support regulatory submissions by providing rationale for design requirements, test results, and standards compliance, all while ensuring adherence to internal Quality System requirements across engineering documentation. Skills and Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering - 5+ years of experience as an Electrical Engineer  - In product development - Experienced with test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, as well as manual tools such as soldering irons and crimpers. - Medical Device Experience  - Background in a regulated industry, preferably with Class II or III medical devices.  - Familiarity with IEC 60601-1 and IEC 60601-1-2, background in testing  - EMC experience
