Electrical Engineer

Job Description

This role involves designing, developing, modifying, and evaluating components and processes used in the generation, manipulation, transmission, and storage of electricity. You will determine design approaches and parameters, analyze equipment to establish operating data, and conduct experiments.

Responsibilities

Read and design plans to build electrical systems on a variety of products and machinery.Focus on manipulation and usage of electricity within a function of an engineered process.Exercise judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.Define system requirements and design specifications to implement them.Analyze designs to designate necessary equipment to collect data.Evaluate and synthesize experimental tests and their results.Complete documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.

Essential Skills

Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering with 4+ years of experience, or a Master’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering with 2+ years of experience.Knowledge of microprocessors, microcontrollers, digital circuit design and analysis, analog circuit design and analysis, FPGAs, memory devices, and signal integrity.Experience with schematic and layout tools, preferably Siemens PADS Designer and/or Cadence.Experience with test equipment such as scopes, logic analyzers, power supplies, spectrum analyzers, etc.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with PSPICE, C, VHDL/Verilog.Experience with RF, compliance requirements, and mitigation of EMI, ESD, and immunity issues.Knowledge of Ethernet, serial interfaces, and motor controllers.

Work Environment

This is a hybrid role requiring presence in the office three days a week.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Lincolnshire, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $52.00/hr.
