**Position Overview** **Power your future with Qualus** as a Senior Drafting Technician on our Underground Transmission Engineering Team. You will be responsible for drafting designs supporting distribution and transmission projects for utility client programs. You will work on a variety of projects, such as electrical schematics or structural components, often collaborating with other engineering team members to achieve project goals. If you're a detail-oriented professional who excels in drafting, we want to hear from you! **Responsibilities** + Perform drafting projects for multiple utility client programs, supporting electric distribution & transmission design. + Interpret construction documents to compile relevant information for electric designs + Create and develop drawing packages for bidding, construction, as-built, and submittal purpose + Participate in the quality assurance/quality control program to deliver industry-leading design products. + Develop knowledge of industry standards or codes. + Collaborate with engineers and managers in service lines to leverage the provide support. + Work independently with minimal direction as a highly motivated self-starter **Qualifications** + High School Education Required. AA/AS/BS degree in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software, Engineering Technology, or related technical training or certifications. + Proficiency in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D + Ideal candidates will have a background in drafting, supporting electrical infrastructure + 5-10 years of industry-related CAD design experience + Extensive and thorough knowledge of engineering design for service line, including AutoCAD Civil3D and Bentley MicroStation. + Familiarity with land survey techniques and coordinate reference systems is highly desired. + Advanced knowledge of other applicable design software + Familiarity with field techniques for construction of electrical infrastructure + Excellent interpersonal and communication skills + Willingness to travel up to 5% + Must possess a valid driver’s license. \#LI-JT1 **Benefits & Compensation** Qualus benefits offered include Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short and Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays, for those who qualify.
