As a Senior Director of Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Technology’s Community and Consumer Banking Finance Technology organization, you will lead a data strategy and promote impact across teams, technologies, and projects within various departments. You will utilize your extensive knowledge of data, analytics, applications, technical processes, and product management to oversee multiple complex projects and initiatives, make critical decisions for your team, and foster innovation and solution delivery. You will spearhead innovation and data engineering solutions, lead a technical area, and act as the primary decision maker for your teams. As a site and technology lead, you will assist the Chief Financial Officer for Community and Consumer Banking by creating and maintaining financial software applications, automating data collection and reporting, and developing budgeting and forecasting tools. You will ensure compliance with financial regulations, enhance data security, and integrate financial systems for streamlined operations. This role involves close collaboration with CFOs and finance teams to translate their needs into technical solutions, provide technical support, and identify opportunities for process improvements. Additionally, you will manage related projects and stay updated with the latest financial technologies to propose innovative solutions.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills.

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 10+ years applied experience. In addition, 5+ years of experience leading technologists to manage, anticipate and solve complex technical items within your domain of expertise and more broadly across the organization.Familiarity of PySpark, DataBricks, Lake House architectureCloud/AWS knowledgeExperience developing and leading cross-functional teams of technologists.Experience hiring, developing, and recognizing talent.
