This is a rare opportunity to sit at the intersection of financial strategy, operational excellence, and executive leadership—guiding enterprise-wide reporting, advising Senior leadership, and ensuring the financial integrity of a growing health system that directly impacts patient care and community outcomes.
Reporting directly to the Vice President of Support Services, you’ll serve as a trusted advisor to executives, boards, auditors, and cross‑functional leaders—owning the story behind the numbers and helping drive informed decision‑making at the highest levels.

🚀 What You’ll Lead & OwnFinancial Leadership & Reporting Excellence
+ Direct enterprise-wide financial reporting at both individual entity and consolidated system levels
+ Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, CFO reports, and Board‑ready analysis
+ Lead variance analysis, financial commentary, and executive‑level insights
+ Oversee the preparation of audited financial statements and coordinate with external auditors
Strategic Accounting & Compliance
+ Ensure accuracy, integrity, and regulatory compliance across all financial records
+ Interpret and implement new accounting standards and pronouncements
+ Lead accounting treatment for joint ventures and strategic partnerships, including valuation and tax implications
+ Oversee nonprofit and corporate tax filings (Forms 1120, 990, 990T, PC, 1099, abandoned property, etc.)
Systems, Process & Policy Innovation
+ Own the structure and evolution of the general ledger and common chart of accounts
+ Partner with IT and vendors on system performance, enhancements, upgrades, and reporting tools
+ Maintain and optimize Crowe RCA and other financial systems
+ Drive continuous improvement across financial processes, controls, and reporting efficiency
Grants, Assets & Specialized Accounting
+ Lead accounting and audits for research and sponsored program grants
+ Oversee fixed asset policy, capitalization, depreciation, and disposals
+ Manage intercompany transactions, reconciliations, bank activity, and reserves
+ Support captive insurance operations and retirement plan accounting
Collaboration & Influence
+ Represent Finance on internal and external committees and task forces
+ Serve as a financial thought partner to operational and clinical leaders
+ Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for leadership
🎯 What You BringEssential Expertise
+ Deep expertise in financial reporting, accounting, audit, grants, and analysis
+ Strong background in healthcare and/or nonprofit finance
+ Proven leadership in complex, multi‑entity environments
+ Exceptional analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
+ High proficiency with general ledger systems and Microsoft Suite

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Springfield, MA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $88.94 - $96.15/hr.
