Growing together.** The Senior Director, Business Systems Analysis (BSA) leads enterprise-wide strategy, delivery, and governance for complex business systems supporting key healthcare platforms and operations. This role drives transformation through technology-enabled solutions, ensuring systems are scalable, secure, compliant, and aligned with business objectives. The role oversees multi-platform ecosystems, leads senior BSA managers and analysts, and shapes the enterprise approach to AI-enabled process optimization and large-scale AI program delivery. Positions in this function create and deliver high-quality system solutions for applications, products, and services across all technology functions. They consult with users and technology specialists to define business processes and the information systems that support those processes. These professionals may perform analysis and act as business liaisons to refine requirements. They also provide technical support to develop cost-effective systems that meet user needs. This function ensures systems operate cohesively across the enterprise, enforcing standards and methods while supporting both current system improvements and new system development. **Primary Responsibilities:** + Strategic Leadership & Vision + Set direction for Business Systems Analysis capabilities across multiple business domains and technology stacks + Partner with senior business and technology executives to define long-term systems strategy supporting healthcare operations, digital transformation, and AI scale initiatives + Champion innovation, modernization, and simplification initiatives across platforms + Ensure BSA function enforces enterprise-wide standards and methods consistently across systems to ensure cohesive operation across platforms + AI Scaling & Program Management + Lead enterprise AI programs, ensuring successful scaling of AI/ML solutions across products and workflows + Establish governance models, risk frameworks, and adoption metrics for AI rollouts + Translate business opportunities into AI-enabled capabilities ensuring integration, data readiness, and compliance + Enterprise Business Systems Leadership + Oversee definition, validation, and prioritization of business and technical requirements for highly complex programs + Ensure non-functional requirements (reliability, scalability, security, usability, compliance) are embedded into solutions + Serve as senior escalation point for complex architecture, integration, or data issues + Ensure system solutions across the enterprise are cost-effective, user-centric, and aligned with business objectives + Healthcare Domain Expertise + Apply deep understanding of payer, provider, clinical, claims, benefits administration, and regulatory frameworks + Ensure system designs meet healthcare regulatory requirements (HIPAA, CMS) + Identify opportunities where technology and AI improve care outcomes and reduce administrative overhead + Quality, Security & Governance + Champion adherence to enterprise technology security standards and data protection protocols + Identify security and quality risks across systems and ensure remediation + Drive a culture of quality, measurement, testing rigor, and system resilience + Organization & Talent Leadership + Lead, mentor, and develop a global team of senior managers and BSA professionals + Build a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning + Influence stakeholders across business, engineering, security, data, and architecture + Guide BSA staff in serving as business liaisons to refine requirements and support cross-functional alignment + Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so **Required Qualifications:** + Engineering Graduate with 18+ years of experience in Computer science or relevant + 18+ years of experience in Business Systems Analysis, Product/Platform Ownership, or related fields + Proven experience leading large-scale AI/ML implementations + Experience consulting with business partners and technical specialists to define business processes and system needs + Deep healthcare domain expertise + Solid understanding of enterprise technology stacks, system integration, and digital architectures + Demonstrated ability to lead multi-channel, multi-platform solution delivery + Proven excellent communication, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management **Preferred Qualifications:** + Certifications in Agile, SAFe, PMP/PgMP + Experience shaping enterprise capability models or modernization roadmaps. + Experience with GenAI, LLMs, and AI-driven automation + Background in ERP, clinical systems, claims platforms, or healthcare data engineering _At UnitedHealth Group, our mission is to help people live healthier lives and make the health system work better for everyone.
