Senior Director, Technology

JOB DESCRIPTION: Position is based in Charlotte, NC, some teleworking may be permitted. Travel to Lowe’s offices may be required. 


Developed the long-term vision of a product portfolio (or strategic capability) that drives strategies, requirements, and roadmaps; understands the competitive landscape, and directly influences the enterprise in how it makes portfolio-specific decisions; owns the different product roadmaps that make up the product portfolio, and influences investment choices that yield long-term customer benefits in support of the vision.  Owned annual planning for the product portfolio and represents team in discussions with executives. Developed and managed the long-term (3-to-5-year) view of the product portfolio (or strategic capability), making trade-off decisions on multiple products and product groups. Led and owned requirements document for all products within the product portfolio (or strategic capability) supporting the following functions of a Retail business: Merchandising, Supply Chain, Stores, E-Commerce, Contact Center, Price and Promotions, Finance & Inventory accounting. Experience working large scale retail customer order management, inventory, and CRM systems and leading teams across software engineering, product management or data science. Built, deployed, and operationalized highly scalable, resilient, and critical technology solutions solving business problems. Led and implemented web applications, web frameworks and Microservices leveraging technologies including ReactJS, AngularJS, MVC, Spring boot, and Java/J2EE. Quantitative analysis skills and writing database SQL (Oracle, Couchbase) queries and relational or open-source query to extract data. Experience in leading and managing teams in building and deploying solutions in public cloud technologies including one or more of the following – Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Azure, Amazon Webservices (AWS), Oracle Cloud. Experience in managing operational and/or financial budgets, including the managing of 3rd party vendors and/or software providers.


JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job requires a Bachelor’s Degree* in Business, Technology, Engineering, or a related field and 12 years of experience in any job title involving software engineering, data science and/or product management or a related field. *Employer will accept single degree or combination of degrees, diplomas and/or professional experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree.


Must have prior experience in: 


•    12 years of experience in:
•    Experience working large scale retail customer order management, inventory, and CRM systems and leading teams across software engineering, product management or data science.
•    Built, deployed, and operationalized highly scalable, resilient, and critical technology solutions solving business problems.
•    Led and implemented web applications, web frameworks and Microservices leveraging technologies including ReactJS, AngularJS, MVC, Spring boot, and Java/J2EE.
