Senior Director, Pricing
Position Summary...As the Senior Director of Pricing Operations, you’ll play a key role in driving operational excellence across Walmart’s pricing ecosystem. You’ll lead a high-performing team responsible for executing pricing processes that support our EDLP principles, enhance business performance, and deliver meaningful value to customers. In this role, you’ll partner closely with Merchandising and Operations leadership to ensure pricing strategies are executed effectively and are aligned with sales, inventory, and profit objectives.

Success in this role requires a hands-on operational leader who excels in fast-paced, high-visibility, cross-functional environments. You’ll lead with clarity and focus, consistently delivering results while building and refining processes that drive scale, increase efficiency, and enable flawless execution across Walmart U.S.

This position is based in Bentonville, AR and reports to the Vice President of Pricing within Merchandising Excellence.

What you'll do...

Lead pricing execution: Oversee day-to-day pricing operations across highly complex categories—ensuring alignment with business goals and Walmart’s EDLP promise

Drive performance visibility: Provide clear and timely visibility into pricing performance—measured against internal targets and external benchmarks—and communicate insights across organizational leadership

Review and act on pricing data: Analyze sales, margin, and pricing data to identify opportunities and recommend pricing adjustments that enhance performance and drive profitable growth

Build trusted partnerships: Foster strong relationships across the business to become a key advisor on pricing execution and a reliable partner for cross-functional teams

Coordinate cross-functionally: Work closely with partners in Merchandising, Operations, Tech, Legal, Audit, and more to ensure pricing initiatives are flawlessly executed and continuously optimized

Operationalize pricing initiatives: Translate strategy into repeatable tools, processes, and best practices that enable consistency, scalability, and speed.

Develop and lead a high-performing team: Foster a team culture centered on excellence, accountability, and growth. Mentor and develop associates to elevate performance across the org

Manage up and influence effectively: Provide concise, actionable updates to senior leaders while advocating for the operational needs of your team

Deep operational expertise in pricing, finance, or merchandising

Experience leading large, high-performing teams and a passion for coaching and talent development

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
