And are equally committed to creating a healthier environment and planet through our sustainability efforts. **Job Summary** The Senior Director, Global Procurement COE, leads the enterprise procurement policy, ensuring adherence to enterprise policies, regulatory requirements and responsible sourcing standards. This leader is responsible for developing and enforcing robust procurement governance frameworks, contract policies, and compliance mechanisms that drive efficiency, transparency, mitigate risks, and enhance supplier accountability. A key member of the global procurement leadership team, this leader will build and refine procurement processes and policies, implement and manage governance-enabling technology, and develop function capabilities necessary to execute procurement strategies that align with West’s enterprise, legal and financial objectives. This role will partner closely with peers in the function leadership team to optimize procurement processes, enhance supplier contract governance, and drive responsible sourcing and financial sustainability. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in end-to-end procurement processes and contract management and regulatory compliance, demonstrate exceptional leadership skills, and have a proven track record of managing geographically dispersed teams. This role offers the opportunity to shape and influence the global procurement strategy at West. The global team has a presence in 35 locations worldwide. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities** + Establish and continuously refine procurement policies, ensuring alignment with enterprise objectives, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. + Design and oversee governance structures that ensure compliance, risk mitigation, and operational efficiency across procurement activities. + Monitor and facilitate compliance with internal policies, external regulations and ethical sourcing guidelines. + Establish internal controls, conduct audits and track key governance metrics to assess policy effectiveness and drive continuous improvement. + Ensure procurement strategies align with West’s sustainability goals, ethical sourcing standards and supplier diversity initiatives. + Manage enterprise procurement business processes, optimise as needed and pull through implementation by establishing key performance indicators (KPIs). + Implement and oversee governance mechanisms for supplier qualification and onboarding, performance and relationship management, and contract compliance. + Partner with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement a responsible sourcing strategy, ensuring alignment with West’s goals, meeting with regulated and non-regulated ESG reporting requirements and generating competitive advantage for West. + Act as a key function business partner for peer corporate functions and operating units at West, providing guidance and support on policy adherence and governance matters. + Identify, assess and mitigate third party risks related to procurement activities, supplier relationships, and contract execution. + Design and oversee, capability and training programs in support of the function talent management framework and commitment to team members’ professional and personal development, along with ensuring stakeholders understand and adhere to policies and governance frameworks. \#LI-CT1 **Education** + BA/BS business administration, supply chain management, finance or related field. + Masters preferred **Work Experience** + 12+ years of business, procurement policy, legal, and/or general procurement experience. + Expert technical knowledge of best-in-class end to end procurement practices. + Expert knowledge of category management, contracting, technology platforms, contract lifecycle management and industry best practices to shape responsible procurement practices. + Demonstrated ability to create strategy and implement change while managing a geographically dispersed team **Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities** + MBA + Track record managing within third party outsourced support models, including offshore support. + At least 7 years in a leadership role. **Travel Requirements** 20%: Up to 52 business days per year **Physical Requirements** Sedentary-Exerting up to 10lbs/4kgs of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
