Senior Dialysis Technician
Patient Care:Initiate and Monitor Dialysis: Set up and operate dialysis machines, monitor patients during treatments, and respond to any issues or emergencies. Vascular Access: Evaluate and cannulate vascular access (grafts and fistulas). Patient Education: Explain the dialysis process to patients and their families, and provide education on self-care. Vital Signs and Documentation: Obtain and record pre- and post-dialysis vital signs, weight, and other relevant data. Medication Administration: Administer medications as prescribed, under the supervision of a licensed healthcare professional. Equipment and Clinic Operations:Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and troubleshoot dialysis machines and equipment, ensuring proper functioning. Water Treatment Monitoring: Monitor and test the water treatment system for quality and safety. Sterilization and Sanitation: Ensure a sterile and clean treatment environment. Inventory Management: Manage and maintain supplies and equipment. Team Leadership and Mentoring:Mentoring and Training: Mentor and train junior technicians, and contribute to staff development. Collaboration: Work effectively with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care. Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Compliance and Safety:Adherence to Protocols: Follow established protocols and procedures for dialysis treatments and equipment maintenance. Infection Control: Adhere to infection control guidelines and practices. Documentation: Maintain accurate and complete patient records. Other Duties:Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and perform initial diagnostics on dialysis machines. Quality Assurance: Participate in quality assurance activities to ensure high-quality patient care. Reporting: Prepare reports and documentation as required.
