The Opportunity:
As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be part of an Agile development team where you will support the architecture, development, configuration, and evaluation of signals intelligence, radar, and communications prototype development systems, related software systems, and development environments for our Navy customer. You will be instrumental in the engineering and advanced research and development associated with the full end-to-end development lifecycle. Your area of work will include serving as a technical expert for efforts related to DevSecOps with a strong focus on Software CM implementations/standardizations as it relates to enhancing CI/CD, improving process reliability, and leveraging automation to enforce across on-premises and cloud deployment infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

Ability to plan and execute hands-on Software CM projects to support design, development, implementation, and evaluation of processes and proceduresUpdate Software CM Plan CDRL, customer interface, requirements development, design reviews, and technical exchanges Writing, designing and implementing Software CM processes and procedures for use across the programWork in a collaborative team environment that fosters knowledge sharing, best practice review and strong leadership supportConfiguration Management Planning, Configuration Item Identification, Change Control, Status Accounting, Verification and Audit of software baselines Initiate Configuration Management Processes to include identification of tools and procedures that follow industry best practicesLead Software CM CI/CD pipeline setup, enhancements, branching strategies, and maintenance Troubleshoot configuration management issues and implement solutionsInterface directly with senior-level government clients and with Scrum Masters to implement best practices for agile software managementCollaborate with PMs/schedulers to ensure IMS correctly tracks software and documentation deliverablesAttend customer and program meetings, to include PMRs, TEMs, and scrum-related meetingsAbility to integrate security tools and best practices into CI/CD pipeline for DevSecOpsImplement cloud and virtual on-premises development environments Ensure a promotional continuous deployment lifecycleUtilize some or all the following: Git, Ansible, Jenkins, Artifactory, Python, Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, Packer, and Vagrant to build, package, deploy, and analyze artifacts, applications, containers, and virtual machines to various environments.Automate build dependency management for software obsolescence Ensure Software CM strategies and promotional deployments align with release strategyProvide multiple enclave support Support cyber security scans, hardening, and vulnerability analysis/remediationsContainer development and best practicesImplement dynamic creation of builder nodes for JenkinsFacilitate OTA updates of fielded systems Administer Atlassian Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket or portions thereofProvide associated design documentation Mentor teammates as needed


Qualifications:
Required: 

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Math, or equivalent experience Active TOP SECRET security clearance with SCI eligibilityWilling to work onsiteAbility to document processes and procedures Familiarity with Microsoft Office ProductsMinimum 10 years’ experience in a technical and/or development roleMinimum 5 years’ experience administering and implementing development workflows, CI/CD solutions, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and security practices using common industry DevOps toolingMinimum 5 years’ experience developing on-premises or cloud infrastructure to support end-to-end development lifecycles for team/customer initiatives Demonstrated experience with Linux operating systems- preferably Red Hat Linux Demonstrated experience using GitDemonstrated experience with one or more of the following or similar: Ansible, Jenkins, GitLab, JFrog Artifactory, Python, Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, Packer, Vagrant


Desired:

10+ years' experience developing on-premises or cloud infrastructure to support team or customer initiatives and developing and deploying processes using CI/CD tools7+ years' experience developing Infrastructure as Code / Configuration as Code (IaC/CaC) solutionsA desire to learn about the principles of Configuration Management and how these principles apply to DevOps.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$98,500-$206,800
