You will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative Neural Networks, kNN, natural language processing (NLP), learn-to-rank (LTR) solutions to power our search engine, ensuring our customers find the products they need quickly and efficiently. _What you will do_ + Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models to improve search relevance, ranking, and personalization + Analyze large-scale user interaction data to identify opportunities for improving search performance + Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate ML models into production search systems using Elasticsearch + Conduct A/B testing and performance evaluation of search algorithms and features + Develop NLP and deep learning models to enhance query understanding, product categorization, and semantic search + Drive innovation in AI-powered search features such as autocomplete, spell correction, and recommendation systems + Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to best practices in data science and ML engineering **REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS** + 5+ years of experience of Data Engineering experience with a preference of at least 2 of those years working in a Data Scientist capacity + 2+ years developing and implementing Neural Networks, kNN, natural language processing (NLP), learn-to-rank (LTR) solutions in a production environment + Deep understanding of various LTR algorithms, including LambdaMART, RankNet, and LightGBM. + Strong programming skills in Python and experience with machine learning libraries such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and PyTorch + Experience working with large datasets and developing scalable data pipelines + Experience with A/B testing and data analysis for measuring model performance **PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS** + Experience with eCommerce platforms and user behavior modeling + Familiarity with LLMs and generative AI applications in search + Passion for e-commerce and a deep understanding of user behavior + Knowledge of MLOps practices and model deployment pipelines + Contributions to open-source search or ML projects + Excellent communication and collaboration skills **EDUCATION** Bachelor’s degree or, equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience) **BUSINESS OVERVIEW** Bring your heart to CVS Health Every one of us at CVS Health shares a single, clear purpose: Bringing our heart to every moment of your health. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
