Get to Know the Role
We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist specializing in Market Insights to join our team in Jakarta, Indonesia. In this role, you will lead our efforts to extract valuable insights from complex market data, driving strategic decision-making and business growth. You will report to the Manager. You will be based onsite.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
Develop and implement advanced statistical models and machine learning algorithms to analyze market trends and consumer behaviorDesign and conduct in-depth market research studies to identify new opportunities and potential risksCreate compelling data visualizations and reports to communicate insights to stakeholders across the organizationCollaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business problems into data-driven solutionsLead and mentor junior data scientists, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learningStay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data science techniques and tools, applying them to improve our market analysis capabilitiesDevelop predictive models to forecast market trends and consumer preferencesOptimize data collection processes and implement best practices for data management and analysisQualificationsWhat Essential Skills You Will Need
A minimum of Bachelor Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field5+ years of experience in data science or a related field, with a focus on market research and consumer behavior analysisProven track record of developing and implementing predictive models and machine learning algorithmsExpert knowledge of statistical analysis and data mining techniquesProficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, and SQLExperience with big data technologies like Hadoop and SparkStrong skills in data visualization and business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)In-depth understanding of market research methodologies and consumer behavior analysisAdditional InformationLife at Grab
