Senior Data Engineer
Job Description Insight Global is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer with deep, hands‑on expertise in Databricks, Python, and PySpark. This role requires someone who can immediately deliver impact in a fast‑paced, “hit the ground running” environment. The core responsibilities include migrating existing SQL processes into Databricks, ensuring they run quickly and reliably, and then rebuilding those workflows in clean, scalable PySpark. A key part of the role is also to mentor and upskill the internal team, enabling them to eventually own and maintain the full data engineering ecosystem. Skills and Requirements - 8+ years of experience working in data engineering - Proficiency in Databricks, Python and PySpark  • Immediate, senior‑level proficiency in Databricks, including workspace setup, clusters, notebooks, repos, and jobs  • Deep PySpark expertise — capable of building performant, scalable pipelines from day one  • Strong Python engineering skillset, with modular, production‑grade coding practices - Prior version control experience working in platforms such as GitHub or Bitbucket  • Hands-on experience with branching strategies, pull request workflows, code reviews  • Experience with automated CI/CD pipelines supporting Databricks or similar data platforms - Must have a proven history of high-velocity onboarding in complex environments and a demonstrated ability to teach while doing - Strong documentation and knowledge sharing - Skilled at writing runbooks, playbooks, data flow diagrams, wikis, and pipeline documentation in real time - Understanding of SQL Server and Stored Procedures to understand current state - Prior experience operationalizing Healthcare/Payer data  • Experience with CMS Stars, payer claims, eligibility, enrollment, risk adjustment, or other healthcare data domains - Familiarity with healthcare data quality challenges and regulatory nuances - Databricks Certified
