Senior Data Architect Position Overview The Senior Data Architect serves as the technical authority responsible for the design, implementation, and governance of enterprise data architectures. This role provides leadership across complex data environments, ensuring data solutions support analytics, reporting, and operational needs while meeting contractual, technical, and quality requirements. The Senior Data Architect brings extensive experience in data warehousing, data modeling, and data analytics, and provides technical leadership to other data architects and solution architects. Key Responsibilities + Lead the design and evolution of enterprise data architectures supporting analytics and reporting requirements. + Define and maintain data models, schemas, and standards for complex data environments + Oversee data warehousing solutions, including data integration, transformation, and storage strategies + Ensure data architectures align with business requirements, analytics use cases, and system performance objectives + Provide technical leadership and guidance to data architects, solution architects, and engineering teams + Establish and enforce data architecture standards, best practices, and governance processes + Collaborate with stakeholders to translate functional and technical requirements into scalable data solutions + Support architectural reviews, design sessions, and technical documentation efforts + Identify and mitigate architectural risks and technical constraints + Ensure deliverables meet contractual, quality, and performance requirements Required Qualifications + Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in data warehousing, data modeling, and data analytics within complex data environments + Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience. + Ability to obtain and maintain required Treasury government clearance, if applicable + Demonstrated experience leading other data architects and/or solution architects on initiatives comparable in scope and complexity to those described in the PWS + Strong expertise in enterprise data architecture, data integration, and analytics platforms + Proven ability to design scalable, high-performance data solutions. + Experience with modern data architecture, including cloud and hybrid environments + Familiarity with data governance, metadata management, and data quality frameworks + Experience supporting analytics, business intelligence, and reporting platforms All qualified applicants are considered for employment, and employees are treated during employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, citizenship, disability, or Veteran status.
