Our products run on intelligence and industry-specific insights provided by the industry teams. We combine financial modeling, industry expertise, data management, and technical skills to curate critical metrics and drive insights from our data. **The Role:** The Company Financials Industry team owns the data management and analysis for every sector, managing quality and timely delivery of content, while also growing our data offering. The team is looking for an Industry Senior Data Analyst to cover a portfolio of companies within sectors such as Energy, Technology, Industrials, Real Estate, Healthcare and Financial Services in Asia. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the data for companies within your sector. You will be building financial models, creating technical solutions, modeling company data, defining key metrics, and researching alternative data to make sure that Bloomberg can offer a data product that is fit-for-purpose for our clients. **We'll trust you to:** + Own the data coverage of 30-50 companies + Understand the workflow of equity researchers in the sector and build data solutions and improvements targeting client needs + Take ownership of the quality of our data making sure it is fit-for-purpose for clients + Build and leverage deep expertise of the sector to drive Bloomberg’s sector-specific data strategy + Make effective decisions in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment + Manage customer and stakeholder relationships relating to the sector + Proactively support customers by helping them interpret data and predicting their follow up questions/needs + Train and mentor team members **You'll need to have:** + Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Business, STEM or related field/equivalent experience + Minimum 3 years of work experience in the financial markets industry + Experience developing financial models using MS Excel/Python + Strong knowledge of financial statement analysis, financial modeling and industry analysis + Excellent communication skills, allowing you to clearly communicate business needs in both English and Japanese and/or Korean to support Japanese-speaking or Korean-speaking clients + Creative and flexible approach to problem solving, aided by strong data analysis skills + Understanding of quality assurance and quality control from a data perspective **We’d love to see:** + Knowledge of statistical analysis and demonstrated applied data analysis skills + Work experience and knowledge around data management principles and technologies such as data modeling, data analysis and statistics to tell a narrative and/or generate data-driven insights + Master’s degree in relevant field and/or CFA designation (or working towards it) + Buy-or-sell side equity research experience + Familiarity with analytics data and available industry statistics for a specific sector such as Energy, Tech, Financials Services, Real Estate, Health Care or Industrials + Experience in or knowledge of Bloomberg Company Financials products, Bloomberg terminal fluency, and/or Bloomberg data workflows + Experience profiling, manipulating and wrangling large datasets **Does this sound like you?** Apply if you think we’re a good match.
