When you step into a career with AT&T, you won’t just imagine the future-you’ll create itAbout the Role:Our team is seeking an experienced technologist to join our Cybersecurity team.Working as a Senior Cybersecurity, you will work with application owners, business partners, and other CSO teams; to design, implement, and maintain AT&T email security strategy and infrastructure. Focusing on protecting email systems from threats (E.g. phishing, malware, data breaches) enact new security standards, and research emerging standards and protocols.  The role involves creating, maintaining and enforcing robust email security policies that aligns with AT&T's business needs and security best practices.Roles & Responsibilities: The Individual in this role willResearch, and working with Global Technology Operations and other business units, implement email security solutions.Develop and maintain email security standards, policies, and best practices.Ensure compliance, including relevant regulatory and industry standards.Identify emerging threats, assess risks and consult with stakeholders to implement email security practices.Identify and report on solution performance metrics.Continual evaluation of both new technologies and the threat landscape.Communicate to a broad audience information explaining email security, standards, and enforcement actions.Assist other business units to design implementations that adhere to existing standards.Required Skills:10+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining email security strategy and infrastructure is highly recommended. Hands-on experience with creating, maintaining and enforcing robust email security policies.Strong understanding of relevant Internet protocols, including SMTP, DNS, message structure.Strong understanding of email deliverability issues, email authentication (SPF/DKIM/DMARC), and email reputation systems.Strong understanding of email solutions (Proofpoint, Exchange, etc.).Understanding of encryption technologies.Strong understanding of the roles of various sub-components of email systems (MTA, MDA, MUA, etc.) and their requirements.The candidate must have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, be self-motivated and work independentlySense of urgency and attention to detail.Should be flexible to work on weekends.Should be flexible to provide coverage in US morning hours.Desired Skills:Excellent communication skills including metrics/performance documentation/presentation, technical drawing/architecture origination and modificationOperates well under pressure and urgent circumstancesSelf-reliant and diligent in follow-through for assigned tasksAbility to work with a geographically disperse teamEngaged collaborator, contributor and team playerCISSP, CISM, SANS GIAC or relevant cybersecurityExperience working in an environment where coordination with multiple teams is essential to successAbility to prioritize individual/group work in a high-stress and time-bound environmentBachelor’s / Master's degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics. Computer Science or Cyber Security or equivalent experience.
