Responsible for supporting the value stream and operational excellence and fostering a culture of continuous improvement by utilizing core continuous improvement methodologies and implementing a daily management operating system Butterball Operating System Solution (BOSS). This position implements and supports actions that yield improvements that may include but not limited to safety, quality, yields, cycle time, efficiencies, margin improvements and customer service.

Key Responsibilities
\n\nImpacts culture change through coaching team members and leaders towards Continuous Improvement behaviors and follows the principles and practices that yield Operational Excellence. \nDirects and/or owns activities needed to incorporate continuous improvement transformation and technology solutions into the team culture and across the value stream. \nExecutes against long- and short-term goals to support the team’s vision. \nIdentifies needs and provides necessary training specific to core continuous improvement tools and methodology. \nOwns and directs improvement projects and initiatives to achieve business needs and goals. \nExecutes and provides guidance on key activities as part of Butterball’s continuous improvement transformation and technology implementation to include the following: pre-shift, shift cross-over and first hour of attainment meetings; start-up scorecard; productivity data capture; standard work and leader standard work; visual boards; action item registers; and weekly operational excellence reviews. \nUtilizes value stream mapping techniques to design optimal information, material, and production flow methods. \nParticipates in Gemba walks and acts as coach for team members in the areas of; continuous improvement; waste reduction and yield improvements; problem-solving; root-cause analysis; flow; and follow-up on action plans. \nCreates and implements standard work, coaching line leaders to do the same. \nImplements and coaches the use of control boards and other visual management tools. \nOwns moderately complex projects that facilitate problem-solving in operations to address issues affecting yields, through-put and efficiencies. \nImpacts 5S process improvements across the operations. \nWorks with necessary site personnel to identify, address, and eliminate process related obstacles. \n\nMinimum Qualifications (Educations & Experience)

\n\nWork will be performed in a variety of conditions including a climate-controlled office environment(s) and in a manufacturing plant environment with varying conditions, such as cold areas, wet areas, warm areas, chemicals, and other site conditions. This position requires the individual to wear and work in personal protective equipment while in the manufacturing environment. \nThe noise level of the office environment is usually moderate; the noise level in the manufacturing environment may exceed 85 DBA and require hearing protection. \nRegional travel may be required up to 20% of the time. \n\nDisclaimer
