Overview

The Senior Consultant - Physical Security will be a trusted member of a growing team responsible for supporting our government and commercial sector clients in assessing, recommending, and implementing security approaches. This position will require a well-rounded physical and operational security background and will include some level of business development and client/project management. The ability to work as part of a coordinated team is critical. This is a senior-level position with growth potential.

 

This position can be in-office position, with a preference for candidates on the east coast.  

 

TRC Security and Emergency Management Services helps its clients assess and plan for current threats while accounting for possible future concerns to create and sustain a security program that is robust, viable, and adapts as required to changing conditions over time. Our services include:

Responsibilities

Lead security assessments and develop comprehensive security plans, policies, and procedures in collaboration with other team members and clientsWork with the various law enforcement and regulatory agencies as requiredSynthesize and analyze human-induced threat and natural hazard dataAuthor reports, technical memos, and other deliverablesDevelop presentations and deliver training content at client locationsInteract with a diverse set of clients including government agency personnel, public officials, business, and nonprofit staffTravel throughout the U.S. and perhaps some limited international travel (travel estimated at 15-25% of the year)
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in security or emergency management, systems engineering, international relations, political science or another applicable fieldCertified Protection Professional (CPP) certificationTen (10) or more years of related/relevant experienceSelf-motivatedExcellent technical writing skills (and strong report editing skills)Strong public speaking and presentation experienceFamiliarity with electronic security system platforms/technologies (video, access controls, etc.)Ability to work collaboratively as part of a larger team to support business objectivesWork closely with government emergency management, law enforcement and security agenciesAbility to travel periodically to meet client and project needsAbility to work in commercial and industrial settings and follow strict safety protocolsFluent written and verbal English communication skillsAbility to pass multiple detailed background checks (including criminal history) and drug screeningUS Citizen, with current driver’s license and ability to travel by air, bus, train, etc.Proficiency with standard MS Office tools, laptop computers, and/or related toolsThe ability to occasionally walk and/or stand for extended periods of time, often in outdoor environmentsBasic business acumen and the ability to understand and support client relationshipsGood professional judgement and strong ethical foundation

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bi-or multi-lingual skills are a plusMaster’s degree is a plusCertifications such as Professional Engineer or Architect, Physical Security Professional (PSP) via ASIS International, CPTED, other related areas are a plus.Knowledge of BPATS, ISC, and FEMA assessment methodologies helpful.Knowledge of various security requirements for various sectors of critical infrastructure are valued.

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

 

Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company’s annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.

Salary Range

USD $120,000.00 - USD $160,000.00 /Yr.
