We are seeking for a talented professional to join our Senior Consultant, Forensic Accounting Claims Services (FACS) at Marsh. This role will be based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
This position will managing complex carrier/clients and will be responsible for collaboration and advocacy of commercial lines claims, determining plans of action and/or claims management expectations. This role will also work directly with multiple insurance company representatives and clients to manage claims on all lines of commercial insurance coverages.
You will be managing claim issues on behalf of our clients, support the overall office goals regarding new business and client stewarship. This position understands the needs of the client and proactively provide a service that create efficiencies, compliance, and adds value to the overall client relationship.
We will count on you to:
Analyze loss situation and develop the strategic path to provide solutions to clients.
Assists clients with claim preparation process, measuring the property and consequential loss
Assists clients with claims handling and support as needed, using negotiation skills to provide best possible outcome.
Provide initial and on-going advocacy on claims including detailed analysis, interpretation, consultation and negotiation of coverage.
Ability to successfully negotiate the settlement and disposition of claims including the ability to interpret related documentation.
Meet with clients and internal colleagues to provide analysis, interpretation and recommendations regarding client loss information.
Respond to clients regarding coverage, exposure, and settlement questions.
Review claim determinations received from adjusters for compliance with policy conditions.
Handle coverage disputes and prepares coverage arguments for client advocacy and form coverage positions as client advocate.
What you need to have:
Bachelor’s degree in Business administration, Accounting, Finance, Statistics or Economics.
5+ years of experience in Asset-based Valuation preferably in a consulting firm.
Knowledge of valuation principles, appraisal methods related to valuation of assets and real estate.
Strong understanding of financial statements and P&L’s, as well as income statements, calculation of gross and net margins.
Accounting and financial knowledge: Must have a solid understanding of accounting principles and financial standards
Data analysis: Ability to analyze large volumes of financial data.
Experience in budgeting or measuring material and consequential losse.
Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills in English and Spanish.
Strong negotiation & influencing skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with strong ability to interact with internal and external executives, to create, develop & maintain extraordinary business relationships.
Excellent problem-solving and time management skills to prioritize workloads to meet time sensitive deadlines as required.
Ability to work within a team and to foster teamwork.
Willingness to expand knowledge and effectiveness in insurance industry
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Self-motivated, problem solving/solution oriented with goal setting.
Self-motivated with the ability to handle multiple client projects and meet defined timelines.
Results oriented with the demonstrated ability to follow-through on client issues to resolution.
What makes you stand out?
Insurance and claims management designations/certifications a plus.
Commercial insurance experience in claims is desirable.
Coverage knowledge in Commercial Property, Ocean Cargo, Inland Marine, Equipment breakdown.
Basic Legal knowledge for claims handling is desirable.
