We are seeking a Senior Compliance Specialist to join our Global Law and Compliance Department at Wolters Kluwer’s.
About the Role
As a Senior Compliance Specialist, you will support key elements of Wolters Kluwer’s global Ethics & Compliance program, with a primary focus on managing the SpeakUp (whistleblowing) process and case management. This is a hands-on role requiring strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and a high degree of professionalism.
You will report directly to the Compliance & Sustainability Director and collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across the organization. This role is ideal for someone passionate about business ethics, integrity, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
SpeakUp Program & Case Management
Serve as the primary contact for Wolters Kluwer’s SpeakUp (whistleblowing) reporting program.Administer the SpeakUp case management system, ensuring accurate and complete documentation of all cases.Manage intake and triage of reports from employees and third parties, communicate with reporters, and coordinate investigations.Ensure cases are handled in compliance with internal procedures and applicable laws; occasionally support investigations directly.Analyze trends and prepare case statistics and reports for senior management and internal committees.Collaborate closely with HR, Legal, Internal Audit, Internal Control, and other relevant departments.Drive continuous improvement of SpeakUp processes, communications, and employee awareness.Other Ethics & Compliance Responsibilities
Support ethics and compliance training and awareness initiatives, including development of annual Code of Conduct training.Monitor and report compliance training completion to senior management.Organize and maintain compliance policies and related documentation within the document management system.Act as secretary to the Ethics & Compliance Committee, including meeting preparation and minutes.Enhance compliance data, reporting, and analytics to measure program effectiveness.Contribute to the ongoing development and strengthening of the global Ethics & Compliance program.Your Profile
Bachelor’s degree in Law or a related field.3–5 years of experience in ethics, compliance, legal, regulatory, or integrity roles within large, international organizations.Hands-on experience with SpeakUp or whistleblowing programs.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.Excellent analytical skills and strong attention to detail.Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with Power BI.Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Dutch.Demonstrates integrity, curiosity, humility, and sound judgement.Our Interview PracticesTo maintain a fair and genuine hiring process, we kindly ask that all candidates participate in interviews without the assistance of AI tools or external prompts.
