Senior Commodity Manager Plastics
Our client, an automotive accessories equipment firm, is seeking a Sr. Commodity Manager-Plastics to join their team. As a Commodity Manger you will be part of the operations/engineering group. The Commodity Manger will have a strong focus on lean manufacturing, supply chain expertise and new product development as we are driving our company and its niche products further and further into the world class truck and commercial vehicle markets. Expertise in plastic injection molding products is a major plus. This is initially a contract role with strong intent to eventually convert to a direct hire employee. Candidates should be local to the Milwaukee, WI metropolitan area. **Job Title:** Sr. Supply Chain Commodity Manager-Plastics **Location: New Berlin, WI** **Pay:** $50-$60/hr plus OT, benefits **Key Responsibilities** + Strong focus on lean manufacturing + Supply chain expertise and new product development + Help build the supply base and processes to match growing requirements + Expertise working with plastic injection molded parts and materials + Champion support for the development and implementation of sourcing strategies, including Asian onshoring and alternative sourcing, shortening supply chains and consolidating suppliers. **Requirements** + A bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field. CPM certification is a plus. + A well-rounded seven to ten years of experience in all the various materials control functions. + Expertise in plastic injection molding and die cast parts is a plus. + Ability to work effectively with all levels of employees and management. + Experience in program management, vendor management, information systems, business processes, internal controls, procedures, and improvement initiatives.
