This role is pivotal in shaping our cloud networking strategy, ensuring seamless connectivity, performance, and security across our global infrastructure. **WHAT WILL YOU DO?** Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: + **Design and implement advanced cloud network architectures** across AWS, Azure, and hybrid environments (VPCs/VNets, Transit Gateways, Direct Connect, ExpressRoute, VPNs). + Lead the **integration of on-premises and cloud networks** , ensuring secure and efficient hybrid connectivity + Collaborate with cybersecurity, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to align cloud network strategies with business and security objectives. + Conduct **cloud network architecture reviews** , performance tuning, and cost optimization initiatives. + Develop and maintain **network automation scripts and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC)** templates for consistent and repeatable deployments. + Create and maintain detailed **network documentation** , including topology diagrams, configuration standards, and operational procedures. - Evaluate and recommend cloud-native and third-party networking tools and services. - Provide **tier-3 support and root cause analysis** for complex cloud and hybrid network issues. - Stay current with **emerging cloud networking technologies** , trends, and best practices. - Mentor junior engineers and lead cloud networking projects from design through implementation. - Ensure compliance with **cloud security and regulatory standards** (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, PCI-DSS). **WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU?** **Education & Experience** + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master’s preferred). + 8+ years of experience in network engineering, with at least 3 years focused on **cloud network architecture and leadership** . **Technical Skills** + Deep expertise in **AWS and Azure networking** (GCP a plus). + Strong proficiency in **Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC)** using tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation. + Scripting skills in **Python** or similar for automation and tooling. + In-depth understanding of **cloud security principles** , including segmentation, encryption, and identity-aware networking. + Experience with **container networking** (e.g., EKS/AKS, CNI plugins, Calico, Istio). + Solid knowledge of **routing, firewalls, DNS, NAT, load balancing, peering, and network segmentation** in cloud environments. + Hands-on experience with **network security platforms** (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco, Juniper). + Familiarity with **network monitoring and observability tools** (e.g., CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, NetFlow, Wireshark). **Soft Skills** + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. + Excellent communication and documentation abilities. + Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, cloud-first environment. + Leadership and mentoring capabilities. **Certifications (Preferred)** + AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty + Azure Network Engineer Associate or equivalent + Cisco CCIE or equivalent + CISSP or other relevant security certifications **WE OFFER:** At CBRE, you can lead your career the way you want.
