**Duration:** 6 Months (with potential for extension or conversion to permanent)
**Schedule:** Monday to Friday | 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM | 40 hours/week
**Pay Range:** $111/hr. – $114/hr. (W2)
**What’s the Job?**
Our client, a leading technology company, is seeking a highly experienced **Systems Engineer 5** to join their infrastructure and data engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for integrating and deploying data caching and transfer solutions, specifically for managing extremely large data sets in a cloud environment. The ideal candidate is highly proficient in **Amazon Web Services (AWS)** , **Cloud Development Kit (CDK)** , **Amazon S3** , and has solid programming experience in **TypeScript and Python** .
**Top 3 Required Skills for the Systems Engineer 5 Role:**
1. **CDK/CloudFormation Experience** – Strong proficiency in using AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK) or AWS CloudFormation for infrastructure provisioning and management.
2. **Amazon S3 Experience** – Hands-on experience with file storage, access control, and managing large datasets within Amazon S3.
3. **Programmatic File Manipulation in S3** – Ability to interact with and manipulate files stored in Amazon S3 programmatically, preferably using TypeScript and/or Python.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Design, integrate, and deploy local data catching solutions for large datasets.
+ Launch, configure, and manage **Amazon S3 buckets** using **AWS CDK (Cloud Development Kit)** .
+ Develop automated pipelines to upload and manage local data caches in the cloud.
+ Implement best practices for handling sensitive and non-sensitive data.
+ Optimize solutions for high-bandwidth, sustained data transmission.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to support cloud infrastructure.
**Top Must-Have Skills:**
+ Strong experience with **AWS CDK** and/or **CloudFormation** .
+ Proficiency in **Amazon S3** for file storage, access control, and large file manipulation.
+ Ability to programmatically interact with and manipulate files stored in **S3** .
+ Expertise in **TypeScript** (for CDK development) and **Python** (preferred for backend/cloud logic).
+ 8+ years of relevant industry experience.
+ Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent technical discipline.
**Nice-to-Have / Bonus Skills:**
+ Familiarity with AWS Compute, AWS Step Functions, Amazon EventBridge.
+ Experience with **AWS Fargate** , **ECS** , or **EKS** .
+ Background in large-scale data infrastructures, especially in **autonomous vehicle systems** .
+ Knowledge of AWS IoT services and data streaming (Kinesis, Kafka).
+ Proficiency in containerization and orchestration tools like **Docker** and **Kubernetes** .
