Our client, an industry leader in manufacturing, is seeking a dedicated Senior Cable Assembler to join their team. As a Senior Cable Assembler, you will be part of the manufacturing department supporting assembly operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title: Senior Cable Assembler**
**Location: Des Moines, IA**
**Pay Rate: $22.00/hour**
**1st Shift: 7:30am-4:00pm Monday-Friday**
**2nd Shift: 4:00pm-2:30am Monday-Friday**
**What's the Job?**
+ Assemble complex products and subassemblies following detailed work instructions and drawings
+ **MUST HAVE CABLE ASSEMBLY EXPERIENCE TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE ROLE**
+ Interpret blueprints, schematics, BOMs, and wiring diagrams accurately
+ Perform in-process inspections and document results to ensure quality standards are met
+ Identify defects and root causes, recommending corrective actions to improve quality
**What's Needed?**
+ **Minimum of 1 year wire harness assembly or relevant complex assembly experience**
+ Proficiency in verbal and written communication
+ Ability to read and interpret written and verbal work instructions accurately
+ Manual dexterity and ability to perform effectively in a manufacturing environment
+ Proficient in reading a tape measure to 1/8 of an inch
