What is the opportunity?
In this role, the Senior Business System Analyst - Digital Banking is responsible for business analysis activities on medium to large size projects. You will serve as a confident individual contributor and primary subject-matter expert to RBC’s Digital Banking team and the Enterprise and International Applications (E&IA) group at-large. You will be responsible for driving, executing, and stewarding all full-cycle business analysis activities for Digital Banking, demonstrating proficiencies in software technical design, functional business requirements analysis and development, and modules testing.
What will you do?
Determine operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats.Technical designing digital banking applications; performing as a bridge between architecture, developers, and business in digital banking, Caribbean Technology by analyzing requirements; constructing workflow charts and diagrams; studying system capabilities; writing specifications.Improve systems by studying current practices, designing modifications and recommending controls by identifying problems and writing improved procedures.Reviewing, analyzing, and modifying programming systems, including encoding, testing, debugging and installing for a large-scale system.Ensuring the operating efficiency of existing application systems. Maintaining records for the documentation of systems development and revisions.Conducting analyses of organizational needs and goals for the development and implementation of application systems.What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst (Process knowledge including different tools, software technical design, risk assessment, and quantification methodologies).Expert-level familiarity with banking terminologies, with an emphasis on digital banking.Advanced practical knowledge of data model design with an emphasis on SQL scripting.In-depth and deeply leveraged knowledge of software development lifecycle and enterprise-level security concepts and methodologies, including SSO, SSL, APIGEE, encryption, authentication, and entitlements.Demonstrable proficient experience using Agile methodology and associated tools.Nice-to-have
Working knowledge of web-based application architectures, frameworks, and integrations with Micro services – an asset.Recent experience as a Tech Lead, Sr. Developer or Solution Architect on a packaged internet banking, mobile banking, or IVR solution – an asset.Experience with Continuous Integration tools, such as Jenkins, GitHub, UCD, and Automated Testing – an asset.What’s in it for you?
