Job description
The Business Development Manager is a Johannesburg-based role that is responsible for driving cybersecurity managed services and product offerings for South Africa. They bring an in-depth knowledge of services to crafting fit-for-purpose solutions in support of NTT clients and ensuring that their crafted solution(s) meet client requirements.
Key Role and Responsibilities:
Support strategic business development, including:Identify and pursue new business opportunities in cybersecurity managed services and product offerings for South AfricaResponsible for the nett new services business target (GP)Develop go-to-market strategies for cybersecurity services and solutions.Build and maintain a pipeline of clientsCollaborate with regional sales teams to drive revenue growth and market penetration.Achieve set and agreed sales targets to meet specified financial goalsEngage with enterprise clients to understand their cybersecurity needs and challengesTranslate client requirements into tailored managed service and product solutionsLead client workshops and presentations to position cybersecurity offeringsSupport pre-sales activities including RFP/RFI responses and bid managementWork closely with the Services Architect in defining product specifications, pricing models, and service level agreements (SLAs).Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure service readiness and scalability.Monitor product/service performance and client satisfaction to inform enhancementsMarket Intelligence & Competitive Analysis:Conduct market research to identify trends, threats, and opportunities in cybersecurity to enhance portfolio offerings.Research and interpret competitor offerings and market trends against NTT client base with a strong data analysis focusBenchmark against competitors and identify differentiators.Provide insights to leadership on emerging technologies and regulatory changesVendor and partner collaborationBuild strategic relationships with cybersecurity technology vendors and service providers.Ensure alignment between vendor roadmaps and internal service capabilitiesSales Enablement and trainingDevelop sales collateral, product documentation, and training materialsTrain internal teams on cybersecurity offerings and value propositionsSupport sales teams with deal structuring and client engagement strategies.ComplianceEnsure cybersecurity services comply with global regulatory standards (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001, NIST)Collaborate with legal and risk teams to assess and mitigate service-related risksInnovation & Continuous ImprovementDrive innovation in cybersecurity service delivery and automationIdentify opportunities for service optimization and cost reductionWork with Group Capability Leads to incorporate AI, threat intelligence, and advanced analytics into offeringsReporting and Stakeholder CommunicationProvide regular updates to executive leadership on business performance and strategic initiatives.Prepare dashboards and reports for internal and client stakeholders.Represent the cybersecurity business in cross-functional forums and leadership meetingsReview of product profitabilityDetermines the appropriateness of pricing of existing and new investments strategies in line with projected value, competitor offerings and market trends.Knowledge, skills and attributes:
Proven technical expertise and extensive security industry experiencePassionate about the technology and security industrySound analytical skills and proficient with analysis of large data setsInvestigative nature to unpack complicated problemsProactive and able to use initiativeEvidence of being able to work collaborativelyAbility to structure complex information, plan, prioritize, delegate tasks, and focus on deliverablesHighly proficient in MS Excel and skills in programmingAbility to drive teammates with various background and level of seniority, and geographically distributedComprehensive knowledge of product management and service development life cyclesExpert knowledge on relevant legislative amendments industry best practices and provision of proactive advice and solutions to relevant stakeholdersKnowledge of sales strategies and conceptsAcademic Qualifications and Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Information Technology, network engineering and/or cyber securityCISSP, CCSP, CISM and/or other security certificationsOEM certifications for relevant security technologiesExperience required:
10 years’ experience in the Security industry and selling/positioning security solutions with clientsStrong comprehension of and experience in network, cloud, application and endpoint security solutionsExperience with the products / solutions from the top security vendorsRelevant experience in the technology industryDemonstrable track record of involvement in design and implementing new products or product lines.Information Technology sales and/or pre-sales experienceWorkplace type:
