Senior Business Controller- FP&A,

Supply Chain – North America

PURPOSE OF ROLE:

Reporting to the FP&A – Director - Commercial, this position is part of the Global Financial Planning &Analysis (FP&A) team providing financial guidance to the Supply Optimization Team.

As a business partner, you will help drive performance from a financial and operational perspective including but not limited to: anticipating challenges, developing innovative solutions, and identifying arbitrage options as we mature our Supply Chain.

This position provides information to facilitate management decisions with respect to P&L / Gross Margin / CAPEX / NWC through financial analysis; researching and analyzing data; and preparing periodic reporting.

KEY DELIVERABLES:

A) Reporting and controlling

Prepare and interpret financial reports by compiling and analyzing financial data from different sources and summarizing account information and trendsMaintain and mature P&L models for the Merchandise purchases, rebates, and expenses related to operations of distribution centers. Collaborate cross-functionally to align financial data structureAnalyze and track period financial reports versus budget, prior year, and investment return expectations and provide commentsAssist with ad-hoc financial analysis and overall performance insights into product categoriesEnsure adherence to contractual rates by vendors

B) Business planning

Support the overall business planning process across regionsCoordinate and aligning process and deliveries across stakeholdersSupport overall strategy and ambition level setting

C) Financial Modelling

Build financial models to map potential outcomes of business cases to financial statements including P&L and NWCIdentify and review key drivers and assumptions

D) Investment Decision Support

Build or Review business cases for strategic initiatives and projectsEnsure that assumptions are attainable and alignedStandardize, improve, and promote investment decision methodologiesTrack investment and operating budgets

E) Operational Expenditure Tracking, Analysis and Reporting Process

Coordinate with OPEX team to report, analyze and provide insight on spendingAssist Functional Groups in spend managementCollaborate with Finance Controller team to provide timely and accurate variance governance reportSupport OPEX Finance Controller team in complex questions

F) Improve and Automate Reporting Tools

Work with various data sources and reporting support teams to provide timely and consistent resultsContribute to team through accomplishing shared related annual objectives

G) Other

Ensure compliance with requirements, policies, and regulations by enforcing adherence to corporate systems, policies, and government regulationsAssists with special projects as neededTravel required – approx. 2%-5% of the time

PROFILE AND SKILLS:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Business with 2-5 of years relevant experience preferably in financial analysis, strategic planning, working capital, supply chain, budgeting, and forecastingMust have advanced knowledge in Excel, working knowledge PowerPoint, Word, and SharePointExperience in a commercial settingExperience working with financial systems (Longview, PDI, JD Edwards, etc.)Must have strong analytical and quantitative abilities; Must have strong attention to detail while being able to synthesize informationExperience working with large and complex datasetsStrong financial modelling skillsMust have strong communication skills and comfortable interacting with all levels of managementComfortable working independently, in cross-functional teams, and in a global roleMust be willing to adapt to a dynamic business environment, balancing multiple priorities and meeting deadlinesHave an entrepreneurial and commercial mindset with a strong drive to Make it EasyComfortable initiating actions and taking responsibility to secure agreed outputCollaborate effectively and build professional networksMotivated by challenging tasks and complex projects across countries and regions
