Seize your opportunity to make a personal impact as a Senior Business Analyst/Product Owner supporting the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Center for Program Integrity (CPI) on the Unified Case Management (UCM) system. HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

Analyzes business and technical processes to formulate and develop business information processing systems. Coordinates with business and technology teamsServes as a lead analyst providing expertise on continuous process improvement strategies, organizational redesign, change management projects, and performance measures for complex and multiple business process engagementsIdentifies and analyzes business needs, conducts requirements gathering, and defines scope and objectivesResponsibilities may include, but are not limited to identifying and eliminating duplication, outsourcing opportunities, streamlining, centralizing, business improvement processes, manufacturing improvement processes, and/or vendor selectionUses quantitative analysis methodology to perform data, cost and benefit, and/or process measurement analysisResearches industry trends for application of process improvement techniques and best practicesPartners with business process owners and management on strategic initiativesBe an instrumental player of a SAFe scrum team throughout the life cycle of the software implementation processes.May be responsible for resolution of complex problems escalated by lower-level consultantsMay develop department policies and proceduresMay coach and provide guidance to less experienced professionalsMay serve as a team or task leadBecome knowledgeable in the UCM application and functionality to allow you to support requirement analysis and provide accurate estimates to reduce risk on the program deliverables.


WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Education: Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experienceRequired Experience: 5+ years of related experienceRequired Technical Skills:  Ability to read or write PostgreSQL or SQL scripts for data support; JIRA/Confluence; Ability to analyze technical processes; Ability to document complex data and/or reporting projectsSecurity Clearance Level: No clearance required, however must be able to obtain a public trustRequired Skills and Abilities: Self-motivated, well-organized and strict attention to details; Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with customers and internal cross-functional teams; Superior written and oral communication skills; Ability to work independentlyPreferred Experience and Skills:  Bachelor's degree preferred; Previous experience working with CMS or medical data systems or tools; Familiarity with large, complex data sources using PostgreSQL or SQL and experience with data migration and/or maintenance activity; Experience with ETL, Reporting, and/or APIs; Experience supporting data migration activity; Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to integrate information from multiple sources; Ability to understand and manage customer expectations and software implementation methodology; Ability to manage competing priorities; Agile certification in SAFe Practitioner, SAFe Agilist, CSM or other agile certificationsLocation: Remote 100%Working Hours: 40 hours per week, available within the core hours of Monday-Friday 9am to 5pm EST.Residency Requirement: - Must have lived in the United States at least three (3) out of the last five (5) years.​ Work visa sponsorship will not be provided for this position
