Job Description:
Job Title: Senior Business Management Analyst
Department: Enterprise Data Management Office (EDMO)
Team: Data Quality & Control
Location: Toronto, ON (Onsite 4 days/week)
The Senior Business Management Analyst plays a critical role in advancing enterprise-wide data control capabilities. This position is responsible for maintaining and evolving the minimum data control requirements across the organization, ensuring alignment with the Enterprise Control Standard, Operating Risk Management Control Testing Standard, Data Risk Management and Enterprise Governance, Risk and Compliance. The role requires close collaboration with Business Segments and Corporate Functions partners, Combined US Operations (CUSO) partners, Collibra Team, Change and Procedure Team to ensure robust, scalable, and compliant data control practices.
Key Responsibilities
1. Data Control Governance & Framework Alignment
· Define, maintain, and evolve enterprise-wide minimum data control requirements in accordance with EDMO standards
· Ensure alignment of EDMO data controls with the Enterprise Control Standard, ORM Control Testing Standard, and Business Governance & Control Standard 1B
· Support the integration of data control inventory with enterprise tooling platforms (e.g., Collibra, eGRC)
· Collaborate with the Procedures and Capability team to update and align procedural documentation and standards with evolving data control needs
· Contribute to the development and refinement of control testing playbooks, job aids, and evaluation workbooks
· Act as a key point of contact for multiple LOBs, providing expert guidance on data control requirements across the data supply chain
· Interpret and communicate control expectations, risk taxonomy implications, and testing outcomes to business and technical stakeholders
· Support the design and execution of control testing activities, including Design Effectiveness and Operating Effectiveness assessments
· Leverage tools such as the EDMO Data Quality Control Evaluation Workbook to scope, document, and report on control performance
· Collaborate with ORM and DRM teams to ensure second-line oversight and compliance with evolving regulatory expectations
Required Skills & Experience
· Collibra knowledge and experience is a strong asset.
· Experience in Data Management function, Business Analysis, Data Analysis is a strong asset.
· Hands-on experience with PowerBI would be an asset.
· Strong knowledge of data control frameworks and enterprise data governance principles.
· Working understanding of risk and control taxonomies and their application in data environments.
· Deep expertise in control testing methodologies, including design and operating effectiveness.
· Advanced knowledge of metadata management and metadata modeling.
· Proficiency in collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint.
· Familiarity with Microsoft Azure Data Lake and data security classification standards.
· Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills to engage with diverse stakeholders across the enterprise.
