Our client, a local Community College, is seeking a Senior Bookkeeper to join their team. As a Senior Bookkeeper, you will be part of the finance department supporting various teams. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively, which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** Senior Bookkeeper
**Location:** Schenectady, NY
**Pay Range: $23.79/hour**
**What's the Job?**
+ Work with students on taking payments, collecting Certificates of Residence
+ Explain student bills to students in terms of charges and Financial Aid
+ Process mail that comes in
+ Explain 1098T tax statements to students, as needed
+ Help with student refund process as needed
+ Help with grant payments to student accounts as needed
**What's Needed?**
+ Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role.
+ Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
+ Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
+ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
