Description
We are looking for a meticulous Senior Billing Analyst to join our team in New Orleans, Louisiana. In this newly created role due to growth, you will oversee all aspects of the accounts receivable, billing, and collections processes while collaborating closely with attorneys, mentoring the junior biller and supporting office staff. The ideal candidate is proactive, thrives in a team environment, and is eager to enhance their skills in a fast-paced legal setting.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the complete billing cycle, including client setup, matter creation, and payment collection.
• Apply time and costs to client accounts on a monthly basis.
• Collaborate with attorneys to prepare accurate and timely invoices, including creating drafts, making revisions, and finalizing bills.
• Submit invoices to clients through mail or electronic platforms, ensuring compliance with task codes and accuracy.
• Process daily client payments and allocate them to appropriate accounts and matters.
• Handle transactions involving trust and escrow accounts, ensuring proper documentation and processing.
• Prepare bank deposits and maintain accounts receivable subledgers by updating and retrieving data.
• Generate client account reports as needed and provide relevant documentation to support collections efforts.
• Respond to billing inquiries from attorneys, clients, and staff in a timely and thorough manner.
• Adhere to firm policies and procedures related to billing and collections, while assisting with special projects as assigned.

Requirements
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in law firm billing and accounts receivable.
• Familiarity with Coyote Analytics and/or E-billing is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively under tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Quick learner with the capability to adapt to new systems and procedures.
