Senior BI Developer

Hobby Lobby is searching for a talented, innovative, and driven Senior BI Developer with a minimum 6-8 years of experience in leading Business Intelligence design and development projects.
Primary Functions/Job DescriptionDevelop business intelligence solutions to satisfy immediate and long-term priorities with solutions ranging from traditional reporting to more modern, interactive reporting solutions.Facilitate business intelligence projects by providing direction and coordination with multiple team members with different abilities and skills.Work directly with business leaders to get beyond the initial “ask” to understand the underlying business needs, critical path, and timeline surrounding key goals.Communicate effectively with business partners up to the VP level.Collaborate with project managers and development teams to implement analytical solutions in coordination with custom application development.Utilize Kimball’s methodology to implement data models to support static reports, interactive reports, and self-service analysis.Effectively use SQL development skills, SSRS reports, SSAS Tabular Models, and Power BI Visuals to implement business intelligence solutions.Mentor team members to help enhance their professional skills and BI development abilities.Required QualificationsOne of the following:Bachelor’s Degree in MIS, Computer Science or related field.Proven experience working in an IT environment.6-8 years in data analytics and/or data science.Expert knowledge of dimensional data modeling techniques.Expert SQL development skills.Proficient in developing tabular models for SSAS.Strong understanding of developing reports using both SSRS and Power BI.Proficient in the use of DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) in Power BI.Ability to lead Business Intelligence projects from concept to realization.Must have experience working directly with senior business leaders to understand objectives and gather requirements.Must be a motivated self-starter who can work independently and also seeks out opportunities to work collaboratively with others.Ability to mentor junior and intermediate business intelligence colleagues.Ability to manage concurrent projects at different stages of completion.Benefits include:Competitive WagesMedical, Dental and Prescription Plan401(k) Program with Company MatchPaid VacationSick / Personal Pay (SPP) Employee DiscountLife Insurance and Long Term Disability Insurance (LTD)Flexible Spending PlanHoliday PayIntegris Clinic and Pharmacy on campusChaplain Services on campusHobby Lobby Stores, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer
